| The primary focus of our firm is services related to the formation and maintenance of corporations and limited liability companies, and the registration of trademarks. Accordingly, we do not provide services in other areas unless there is considerable demand for those services by our clients. Our clients do have the need for fundamental estate planning. By this, we mean (in the normal case) husband and wife wills, where each leaves the property to the other and, in the event of a common disaster, both leave the property to their children, outright if the children are all over 18, or to a trustee for the benefit of minor children, and designate a guardian for those children. Customarily, each wants a durable power of attorney to permit the other or a third party to deal with their property in the event of disability, a health-care power of attorney to permit the other to make health-care decisions and a living will, including directions for the avoidance of extraordinary measures to prolong life. We offer this service and these documents for $275. This service does not involve tax planning at all, and is thus intended for use by clients whose estates do not exceed the exemptions under federal and state law. |
